Yamaha vmax restoration Part 1

I am undertaking a full restoration of a 1998 full power Yamaha vmax. The bike has done a little over 25,000miles and is a UK bike.

The frame showed a lot of signs of surface rust and the black engine had been partially repainted with the remainder covered in oxidisation.

Method:

To strip, photo and itemise each part as it is removed from the frame.

Powder coat frame, repaint engine, sandblast an zinc coat fasteners and brackets as and when necessary.
