Frame completely stripped and photographed.

I've kept most bolts and nuts with each component. Where I haven't been able to, I've recorded each ones length, type of head and thickness. Then labeled and photographed it's position.

I always make a record of the location, size and type of fastener. It makes life alot simpler when you get a bag of 40 or 50 fasteners back from the platers. I always write on the bag the number of fasteners that I give to the plater.

Ask your plater to 'wire' the fasteners rather barrel plate them. That way you are almost guaranteed to get the same number back.
